The Quarry Pottery is a colourful space to get creative and to design and paint your own pottery. Firstly, choose from a selection of ceramic objects and then using a range of templates, stencils, brushes and paints, design your very own unique ceramic creation. You can then apply your preferred glaze. Expert advice is always on hand from the talented ceramicists, who will also fire your finished design once you have finished.
The Quarry Pottery now also offers Pottery Throwing. With 2 wheels available you can have fun throwing with a friend with expert advice and support always available. Throw your pot and the Quarry Pottery staff will apply your preferred glaze and fire your finished design. Your pot can be collected or posted to you. This brand new activity is great fun in our craft centre in Mid Wales.
One of our popular kids birthday party activities, and for a good reason. Surrounded by the mouth-watering aromas of delicious chocolate, you can design and make your own chocolate bar in the Chocablock studio. Using high quality Belgian chocolate and a fabulous choice of toppings, design and make your own unique chocolate bar. Expert advice is always on hand from the talented Chocolate Makers themselves.
Immersed in the fruity scents of handmade soaps and hand carved candles, The Candle Studio is the perfect setting to make your own pair of hand dipped candles. Starting with a pair of candle wicks, build up the layers of wax from a selection of hot coloured waxes until you have the size and colour you want. Expert advice and help is on hand from the candle makers themselves. This is a great thing to do in our Mid Wales craft centre to create a gift your friends and family will enjoy.
The talented Wood Craftsmen at Taran Eco Designs make furniture which has been designed with and inspired by nature. On one of their furniture building courses, they will share their skills with you. Come along and learn how to source reclaimed materials and then build your very own piece of furniture. The exceptional Wood Craftsmen will always be close at hand.
