Corris Craft Centre offers a variety of experiences, and we welcome coach groups, youth clubs and school groups of all sizes. Browse and enjoy the 9 individual Craft Centre workshops and to participate in the hands-on and fun activities offered by many of the workshops. There is a coach drop-off point right next to the main entrance and parking is free throughout the day.
Coach groups, youth clubs and school groups can browse the exciting collection of 9 craft workshops, immersing themselves in the creativity of our arts and crafts centre. There’s generally someone to watch either making or creating something handmade and unique. There’s just a short walk from one workshop to the next. Entry to the Corris Craft Centre is free, charges apply when booking our things to do near Aberystwyth.
Enjoy the range of hands-on and fun craft making activities. All the craft experiences, which are run by the designer-makers themselves, inspire fabulous creations which can be taken home and enjoyed. Prices vary for the different experiences.
The collection of hands-on fun craft making activities includes many things. There’s pottery painting in the Quarry Pottery, where groups of up to 20 people can paint together. The making and decorating of a quality Belgian chocolate bar in the Chocablock studio, where groups of up to 12 people can create chocolate together. A candle dipping activity in The Candle Studio where up to 2 people can make a pair of candles every 15 minutes. And one special school trip idea for you to try is our furniture building workshops, run by the Taran Eco Designs studio and can be specifically tailored for groups of varying sizes.
All our arts and crafts centre activities are also available, for groups of between 8 and 20 adults. For grownups, we can offer bespoke private visits and tutored tastings of the collection of award-winning artisan gins crafted by the Dyfi Distillery, one of Britain’s most acclaimed micro distilleries.
Starting from the Corris Craft Centre is a great collection of visitor attractions, all of which welcome groups and school trips. The visitor attractions all have links to the national curriculum for educational school trips. King Arthur’s Labyrinth, Corris Mine Explorers and Lost Legends of The Stone Circle all start from the Corris Craft Centre. Group discounts are available for 15 people or more.
The Corris Café is at the Corris Craft Centre in Mid Wales and provides a perfect group meal or group refreshments stop Mid Wales. Situated amongst the 9 workshops, the café has views all around of the densely wooded hillsides of the Corris valley. The Corris Café was a finalist in the Best Place to Eat in Mid Wales (Mid Wales Tourism Awards 2019/20).
Delicious local and seasonal produce is used across the menu to create a selection of hot and cold meals. Freshly ground coffee, expertly roasted in South Wales is served by our trained baristas in a variety of different styles. Welsh Morgan's Brew breakfast tea & loose leaf tea are on offer and a wide range of cakes & bakes are always available. For groups of 10 people or more, please contact us to pre-book your meals and to ensure availability and space. The Corris Café seats up to 80 people, with seating inside & out. Coach Drivers may receive complimentary refreshments at the cafe to keep them in top shape for the road.
