Delyn Glass - Kevin Brown

Delyn Glass

Handmade glass gifts and recycled glass items

At the heart of the Delyn Glass Studio is Kevin himself, who can be seen handcrafting his unique glass sculptures. His designs are largely inspired by nature and include a wide range of flowers, birds, dragons, wildlife, sea creatures and special occasion gifts. Kevin's Dragonfly sculptures are very popular with visitors and they were voted winners of the Craft Centre's 30th Anniversary Design Challenge in 2012. In addition to glass sculptures the studio also retails an attractive range of gifts and practical items made with recycled glass, crystal rainbow makers and glass tankards that can be personalised by glass etching. We look forward to showing you are eyecatching designs.

About Delyn Glass

Kevin has been working as a glass flame-work artist since 1977. After completing 3 years basic training the company he worked for closed but he continued to develop his technique and designs as a hobby. He became a full-time glass artist in 1984 when he formed Delyn Glass in South Wales. During the same year he was visited by HRH Prince Charles and Princess Diana. HRH was a willing apprentice but needed much more practice! After 20 years, mainly supplying glass sculptures to retail outlets throughout the UK, Kevin re-located to Corris Craft Centre in 2005. Kevin continues to be inspired by the natural beauty of his surroundings and the challenges set by his commissions. His current work in progress is a fantasy inspired chess set - watch this space!
