Philip Bryce-Grainger
I graduated in Engineering in 1993, specialising in jewellery production. During my degree, I worked closely with a large jewellery manufacturer to develop an automated robotic facility. Following university, I joined Welsh Gold PLC, working with a small team of goldsmiths and welsh jewellers creating unique pieces with the “World's Most Precious Metal”. Working on-site at the goldmine, where I was truly integrated with the whole gold production process. I set up my own goldsmiths' studio here at Corris Craft Centre in 2002 to develop my ideas and designs further, and now create an extensive range of Contemporary and Celtic jewellery in all precious metal alloys.
Handmade, Unique Celtic Jewellery & Contemporary Jewellery
At Agau, we have a fully equipped jewellery workshop where we make a unique range of Celtic jewellery in Gold, Silver, and Platinum. Our range includes pendants and earrings, engagement and eternity rings, wedding bands and our ever popular handmade Celtic bands. We always have an extensive selection of jewellery on display, and these can be made in 9ct or 18ct Gold, White Gold or Rose Gold to suit your individual style. Our Celtic designs in particular look stunning in Rose Gold. Celtic bands can mark a special occasion and are often chosen as wedding or partnership rings. In addition to the rings on display, we offer a bespoke wedding ring service where we will produce a unique wedding ring just for you, to fit seamlessly with your engagement ring. We offer a full Jewellery design, manufacture, and repair service. We are always happy for you to visit us where you can browse, talk with the goldsmith or try on that special item.
Our Inspiration
We are fortunate to be able to live and work in such a beautiful place. We have the coast, country, and mountains right here on our doorstep with plenty of things to do in Mid Wales. Having time away from the jewellery bench to reconnect with nature is where I find true inspiration to create new pieces. A walk through the countryside, or a ramble high into the mountains with wind in hair, is where the mind truly clears. Leaving behind the pressures and clutter of daily life to let the imagination wander, finding the creative inspiration where fresh ideas flow, and where the kernel of that new design first emerges.
