40th Anniversary Celebrations continue with the launch of a Luxury Prize Draw

Corris Craft Centre first opened in 1982 with 6 independent craft studios and a cafe. Forward the clocks 40 years and the Craft Centre site has mushroomed into a complete day out with 9 unique craft studios, a Cafe, Welsh Deli and 3 visitor attractions: King Arthur's Labyrinth, Corris Mine Explorers and Lost Legends of The Stone Circle.
The 40th Anniversary Celebrations kicked off with an Open Day for local businesses back in April where they were treated to a guided tour of the craft studios with private time, questions and answers with the 9 talented craftspeople and visits to King Arthur's Labyrinth and Corris Mine Explorers together with lunch in The Corris Café.
To continue the celebrations, we have launched an exclusive and luxurious prize draw with 9 unique prizes to be won which have been donated and crafted by the Craftspeople. The prizes are exclusive and complete one-offs that money simply can not buy. A free prize draw entry card will be given to all of our visitors this year who buy an item from any of the nine Craft Studios or who take part in the Mabinogian Quest in Lost Legends of The Stone Circle.
The fabulous prizes are:
-One-to-one Print or Photography Tuturial with Sammi Wilson Art. Spend time with Sammi learning about her fabulous artwork and create your own print or choose a photography tutorial where you will spend time learning how to create the perfect picture and photograph in the local area. You will take your images home on a memory stick.
-One-to-one Candle Carving Workshop with The Candle Studio. Spend time with Kym and learn how to carve candles out of hot wax. Kym will guide you through the process where you will learn how to carve the different candle designs sold in The Candle Studio.
-One-to-one Pottery Throwing Class and Behind the Scenes Tour with Quarry Pottery. Spend time with Lahn and learn the skills to throw a pot followed by an exclusive behind the scenes tour. See the kiln that reaches temperatures of 240°, learn about the glazing process and lots more.
-Private Gin Tasting and Cocktail Class for up to 6 people with Dyfi Distillery. Spend time with Danny, a leading drinks industry consultant and international wine judge, and experience a tutored tasting of their award winning artisan gin collection as well as a Cocktail Class.
-Chocolate Pizza Making workshop and exclusive Chocolate Tasting Experience for up to 4 people with Chocablock. Spend time with Lisa and Richard and enjoy a Chocolate Pizza making workshop followed by a gourmet chocolate tasting experience of their handmade chocolates.
-One-to-One Pyrography course with Taran Eco Designs. Spend time with John and learn the skills of using pyrography to burn onto wood. Burn your own image or special message or poem onto a beautiful piece of reclaimed wood.
-One-to-One Leather Tooling Workshop with Hyde and Sheep. Spend time with Kat and learn the skills of crafting with leather. Using traditional leather crafting tools you will create your own unique leather key ring.
